“I need you to promise me something, too,” Ladybug said, her voice barely audible.
“Anything,” Chat Noir replied instantly.
She sniffled, her tears now flowing freely down her cheeks. “Promise me you’ll wait for me.”
Without hesitation, Chat Noir reached up, his gloved hand gently cupping her tear-streaked face, his claws barely grazing her skin. “I’ll always wait for you, m’lady.”
