Chat didn’t know what he was doing. It was just a regular night of patrolling, but the sunset was glowing with hues of orange-pink and the eiffel tower seemed to shine in the background of their rooftop and he still only had eyes for her. The love of his life, his Ladybug, his gorgeous girl. In that moment, he knew he was so in love with her he couldn’t breathe and he knew that there was no one else he would hold a love this great for in this lifetime, or any other. He knew that even if she didn’t love him the same way, he would treasure her every smile, every glance, every laugh as if everything about her was his only lifeline and ticket to drowning all at once.
In which Ladybug is the ocean waves and Chat Noir is the sand welcoming the drowning if it means he can experience any part of her so vividly as the moment a tidal wave comes crashing onto the shore.
