When Heroes Are Unforeseen

Marinette never thought she could be a hero. Heroes were brave and powerful; she was shy and clumsy. Heroes stood up for others; she couldn't even stand up for herself. She had accepted that she was meant to play the side character in others' stories. She wasn’t good enough to be a hero; she just had to leave the saving to other people.
Adrien always wanted to be a hero; he grew up reading about heroes. He wanted to be the kind of person that put others first, he wanted to be the kind of hero that existed in his books. The charming, funny courageous heroes that he had looked up to so much as a kid. But his life was falling apart. His mother was dead, his father had changed, and his best friend wasn’t the person he thought she was. With all his struggles, when push came to shove he wasn’t able to do what was right. He wasn’t cut out for heroism.
But just because you think you can’t do something doesn’t mean you really can’t. Sometimes the things you think you aren't meant to be become what you are designed for.
